Training and Education
I have experience providing counseling services in various settings including: outpatient community mental health, home and community-based intensive services, shelters and schools. I've completed extensive training in domestic violence in Oregon and Washington and have acted as a Child Advocate for a number of years.
I'm currently completing continuing education units in order to be certified in Perinatal Mental Health.
I feel I am especially helpful in the following areas:
- Family Therapy
- Couples Therapy
- Domestic Violence
- At-Risk Youth
- Communication (between family members, couples, teenagers and parents)
- Preteens, Adolescents, Adults
- Individuals with a history of severe, complex trauma
My approach to counseling is collaborative, where you are the expert in your story and we work together toward the progress you desire. I believe people are good, resilient and capable of making changes they want to see.
